AmerisourceBergen Corporation ABC delivered second-quarter fiscal 2019 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.11 surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.96 by 7.7%, maintaining its streak of positive earnings surprises. The figure also improved 8.8% year over year.
The better-than-expected bottom-line performance can be attributed to increase in adjusted operating income and lower share count.
