so sehr ich die Preiskämpfe begrüsse, aber angeblich verschlechtern sich die Marktbedingungen

so soll Robinhood Orders an Marketmaker anstatt an die Börsen leiten um so Provisionen zu kassieren

Das ist eine gängige Praxis. Wird schon seit viele Jahre gemacht. Der Orderflow wird verkauft und in der Regel 3x abkassiert. 1x Durch den Käufer, 1x durch Kickbacks und dann noch irgendwelche andere Fees. 

Der durchschnittliche Retail Anleger checkt das nicht.

da kannst du dir sicher sein, da wird der Retailer so RICHTIG schön abgezogen. 

Das ist doch eine klassische win-win Situation - der Retailer ist happy (er ist das Produkt und merkt es nicht), und der Broker macht nach wie vor sein Geld - nun halt jetzt ganz offiziell mit dem Orderflow

Schwab (SCHW) Q4 Earnings Miss Estimates as Revenues Fall

Charles Schwab’s SCHW fourth-quarter 2019 adjusted earnings of 63 cents per share lagged the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a penny. Also, the bottom line decreased 3% from the prior-year quarter. Results for the reported quarter excluded $25 million (1 cent per share) expenses relating to two pending acquisitions.

Lower revenues and a slight rise in operating expenses hurt the results. However, rise in client assets and net new assets along with higher new brokerage accounts number acted as tailwinds.

Net income available to common shareholders was $801 million, down 9% year over year.

For 2019, adjusted earnings of $2.72 per share improved 11% year over year and beat the consensus estimate of $2.70. Net income available to common shareholders was $3.53 billion, up 6% from 2018 level.

After considering these, net income available to common shareholders (GAAP basis) was $615 million or 48 cents per share, down from $913 million or 70 cents per share recorded in the year-ago quarter.

wegen der bekannten Brexit-Problematik mit Interactive Brokers habe ich ein Konto bei Schwab International eröffnet. Vorerst kein Margin-Handel, nur normaler Aktienhandel. Wegen eines Formfehlers verzögerte sich meine Anmeldung, ansonsten eigentlich alles easy.

wenn man den US-Markt anschaut, ist Schwabs Marktkapitalisierung etwa viermal so groß wie die von Interactive. Auch vom Umsatz her ist das Verhältnis in etwa gleich. Beide gehören zu den Top5 des "capital markets" in den Staaten. Ob die anderen Anbieter Morgan Stanley und Goldman Sachs auch kleinere Retail-Kunden annehmen entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis. Vermutlich geht es bei denen erst ab einem 7-stelligen Dollarbetrag oder so.

Als ich letztes Mal Geld beziehen wollte hätte ich für eine Ueberweisung zuerst ein Steuerformular ausfüllen sollen (auf Papier) und dann dieses in die USA schicken. Habe mich dann stattdessen für eine Check entschieden, dauerte aber etwa 10 Tage (!).

War TD-Ameritrade die ja jetzt auch zu Charles Schwab gehört.

Bei IB gehen die Ueberweisungen jeweils am gleichen Tag durch, in beide Richtungen und ohne Papier Formulare.
