Theodore Roosevelt wurde übrigens vor einer Wahlkampfrede im Oktober 1912 in die Brust geschossen. Er hat danach noch seine über einstündige Rede gehalten, bevor er ins Krankenhaus gebracht wurde. “I give you my word, I do not care a rap about being shot; not a rap!"
Möchtest du nicht lieber diese Reaktion eines Präsidenten in den Kontext zum gestrigen Vorfall stellen und Aussagen zu "Präsidenten würdig" anstellen statt zu spekulieren, wie jemand anderes unter Umständen reagiert haben könnte?
Theodore Roosevelt, als Kandidat der Bull Moose Party angetreten, hat seinerzeit das Attentat jedoch nicht zum 3. Wahlsieg einige Wochen später verholfen. Die Kugel wurde nie entfernt, er überlebte damit noch 7 weitere Jahre, bevor er mit 61 verstarb.
