Thank you for contacting IB and expressing your interest. At this time, the migration plan is still being worked out. However, it is unlikely that customers will be able to choose which IB Entity to go to as it will be worked out with regulators and those determinations are final and for compliance reasons. In the coming days, you should see more notices and when ready, you will see a migration decision to make.

Residents of the U.K. will be able to maintain their accounts with IB-UK.

To remain with IB-UK, client residency must be in the UK.

For IB LLC (USA), the possibility is more broad but still determined by residency. That is to say, that account holders must reside in the USA or be a resident at a location which is serviced by IB LLC (e.g.- Malaysia).

These issues are regulatory in nature and may limit offers that we can make to customers.
