Die 27% in 4 Wochen sind mir gar nicht aufgefallen.
Da gab es ganz andere Aktien die in dem Zeitraum mehr Vola erzeugt haben auf Tagesbasis.

Aber die Richtung ist schon mal gut.

Shares of General Electric Co. have outperformed their industrial peers and the broader stock market by a wide margin this year, but J.P. Morgan analyst Stephen Tusa cautioned investors into reading too much into the bounce, which he said was based on “hope” rather than any real news.

In a research note titled, “GE YTD outperformance: A show about nothing...for now,” Tusa played down any perceived positives stemming from recent reports that GE was in talks to sell its GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) business.

GE Restructures Wabtec Spinoff in Deal That Will Net It $3.4B in Cash

GE's plan to sell off its transportation division is expected to net the company $3.4 billion.

General Electric Co. (GE - Get Report) shares rose 4.3% by the close of trading Friday after the company announced that it was restructuring the planned spinoff of its transportation division.

GE announced last May that it will merge its transportation unit, which manufactures freight locomotives and has been under GE control for a century, with rival Wabtec Corp. (WAB - Get Report) in a deal valued at $11 billion. 

The revised deal will give a majority stake in the new company to Wabtec shareholders (50.8%) while GE shareholders get 24.3% and GE gets 24.9% of the new company. Under the original deal, 49.9% of the company went to Wabtec shareholders with 40.2% going to GE shareholders and 9.9% going to GE.

nach +30% seit meinem Kauf Mitte Dezember, heute mit $9.05 Kasse gemacht (structured products mit Barriere $5.18 werden natürlich bis zum bitteren Ende am 6.11.2019, gehalten...)

Ich denke (und hoffe....), dass ich die Aktien wieder deutlich günstiger kaufen kann.
Nach diversen eher durchzogenen Zahlen im Sektor, auch nach der Warnung gestern von CAT, will ich keine bösen Ueberaschung nach dem Zahlenkranz vom Donnerstag erleben.
und nach einem solchen Move der Aktie, (Outperformance von knapp +26% ggüber S&P 500 industirals sector level 1 sowie +29% ggüber Gesamtmark) sind event. Gewinnmitnahmen zu erwarten.

General Electric said adjusted non-GAAP earnings for the three months ended in December came in at 17 cents per share, down around 36% from the same period last year and well shy of the 22 cent Wall Street forecast. Group revenues, GE said, rose 5% to $33.28 billion, firmly ahead of the consensus forecast of $32.6 billion.

GE also said it was able to retain or generate around $10 billion in cash over the quarter thanks to its dividend cut and the sale of parts of its stake in oil services group Baker Hughes (BHGE - Get Report) . Cash flow from operations, however, slowed 8.6% from last year to around $6.4 billion.

ich reduzier von overweight auf normal

Am 25. Februar gibt es ja den Spin-Off von GE Transportation zu SpinCo (mit Gratis Aktien für GE Aktionäre). Danach gibt es den merger mit WabTec wobei die SpinCo (die überlebende Firma) Aktionäre Kaufsrechte für WabTec bekommen.

Ich warte mal ab wie das genau aussieht. Das beste gibt man wahrscheinlich erst zum Schluss her, vielleicht behalte ich die SpinCo Aktien. Ob ich dann beim Merger noch zukaufe werde ich mir später überlegen, kommt auf die Konditionen an.
