Shares of McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) are down 0.98% on word that Cleveland Research checks show the restaurant chain underperforming Q1 comparables sales expectations.
Some analysts have warned that the harsher winter weather this year across the U.S. has held back restaurant traffic more than anticipated.
27 of the 42 publicly-traded restaurant stocks with a market cap of over $50M are in negative territory to start the week.
